This edition is written in English. However, there is a running Dutch thesaurus at the bottom of each page for the more difficult English words highlighted in the text. There are many editions of The Ruins. This edition would be useful if you would like to enrich your Dutch-English vocabulary, whether for self-improvement or for preparation in advanced of college examinations. Webster's edition of this classic is organized to expose the reader to a maximum number of difficult and potentially ambiguous English words. Rare or idiosyncratic words and expressions are given lower priority compared to "difficult, yet commonly used" English words. Rather than supply a single translation, many words are translated for a variety of meanings in Dutch, allowing readers to better grasp the ambiguity of English without using the notes as a pure translation crutch. Having the reader decipher a word's meaning within context serves to improve vocabulary retention and understanding. Each page covers words not already highlighted on previous pages. This edition is helpful to Dutch-speaking students enrolled in an English Language Program (ELP), an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) program, an English as a Second Language Program (ESL), or in a TOEFL® or TOEIC® preparation program. Students who are actively building their vocabularies in Dutch or English may also find this useful for Advanced Placement® (AP®) tests. TOEFL®, TOEIC®, AP® and Advanced Placement® are trademarks of the Educational Testing Service which has neither reviewed nor endorsed this book. This book is one of a series of Webster's paperbacks that allows the reader to obtain more value from the experience of reading. Translations are from Webster's Online Dictionary, derived from a meta-analysis of public sources, cited on the site. Top to learn more

In a 90-page script, those extra four lines per page can amount to several pages of wasted space. At one time, screenwriters were required to begin and end each page with the (CONTINUED) notation to indicate, obviously, the script continued onto the next page. For more detail on the best ways to use the White Space technique in your script, check out the article titled Using White Space to Hold a Reader's Attention. You want readers to live and breathe your story as they read it. The imagery evoked by your words should drive what we're seeing or hearing as readers. Camera directions such as “PAN” and “CLOSE UP”. Avoid the use of camera directions to describe shots in a spec script. Later, the (CONTINUED) at the top of the page was ditched but the one at the bottom of the page was retained. Once your script becomes a film in production, camera angles and shots will become the responsibility of the director and the director of photography. The screenwriter's goal is to create a script in which the writing flows so smoothly the reader becomes part of the story, watching it from within. Direct the reader's attention through your words instead of through camera angles. The best way for a writer to direct the script is to format the description in such a way the shots appear to separate themselves. Phrases like "We see" and "We hear" make the reader feel as if he or she is part of an external audience, not part of the story itself.
In the letter, Ricky proves that he owns a dictionary and a thesaurus, or at least knows how to find them online, and uses several big words that are both misspelled, and at times used incorrectly. In no way am I attempting to justify my actions towards persons of high immaturity levels and hypocritical methods of “becoming a better person,” I was wrong. My unexpected reaction to fallaciloquences embellished with deceitful humgruffin cover-ups and unnecessary remarks towards my younger brother enraged me.
